Obituary for Jack A. Yates
Jack A. Yates, 76, of Fort Wayne passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born on November 30, 1940 in Harman, VA to the late Ezra and Roxie (Estep) Yates. Jack was a U. S. Navy veteran and a retiree of General Electric.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Yates; grandchildren, Matthew Allen Baumgartner; Terry Levi Baumgartner and Christina Marie Stepp; great-grandchildren, Erin MacKenzie Baumgartner; Sean Osborne Baumgartner and Cole Albert Baumgartner. He was preceded in death by brothers, Bill Yates and Leon Yates; sisters, Marcella Tucker; Margaret Rose Yates and Sylvia Richmond.
Memorial service is 4 PM Friday at FairHaven Funeral Home 6557 N. Clinton Street with calling one-hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
