Thomas R. Depew, 75, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Thomas and Marylou Depew. Thomas devoted his life to service and protection working as the chief of police for Dillon, MT and also as an MP with the presidential helicopters out of Quantico VA. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Marine Corps for 13 years including a tour in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. During his service he received the Vietnam Service Medal, a Purple Heart, a Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation Gallantry Cross, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and a Letter of Commendation. He is survived by his two sons, Scott (Lisa) Depew of Hermiston, OR and Randy (Jenni Norton) Depew of Martinez, CA; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; and his sister, Nanci (Duane) Benedict of Portola, CA.
