Sheila M. Richards passed away on Sunday August 26, 2018 peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family after a brief battle with cancer. Sheila was born in La Farge, WI on October 8, 1938 to Sally J. Smith and Clark S. Smith. Sheila graduated from Janesville Senior High School class of 1957 and then in 1958 from Marvel School of Cosmetology in Milwaukee, WI. Sheila then married Dean W. Richards in Janesville, WI on August 16,1958. From this union came five children. Along with operating Deano’s Westside Pub, Janesville, WI with her husband Dean, Sheila also work for many years and later retired from General Motors in 1998. Following the death of her husband Dean, Sheila relocated in 2008 to Fort Wayne, IN to be closer to family. In Fort Wayne, Sheila was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church and loved spending time with friends from church, neighbors and other social groups. Sheila enjoyed many hours working the flower beds in her beautiful yard and watching the many types of birds that she would care for. Sheila was also an avid Green Bay Packer and NASCAR fan, GO PACK! Sheila also very much adored the precious time she had with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sheila is survived by her loving and loyal dog Charlie and by four children: Tammy (David) Mould, Fort Wayne, IN, Tim (Kelly) Richards, Janesville, WI, Todd Richards Nashville, TN, Tracy (Melissa) Richards, Wolcot, NY. Daughter-in-law Sheila (Terry) Richards, Arcadia, WI. Grandchildren, Joshua (Rachel) Mould, Justin (Ashley) Mould, Jeremy (Priscilla) Mould all of Fort Wayne, IN, Micayla Richards Appleton, WI and Kendyl Richards Janesville, WI. Great-grandchildren: Keagan Mould, Carter Mould, Zoey Mould, Raylee Mould all of Fort Wayne, IN. The family would like say a special thank you to Parkview Hospice. Service is 1:00 pm, Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 7211 Stellhorn Rd, with calling two hours prior beginning at 11:00 am. Cemetery service is 1:00 pm CST, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Milton Lawn Memorial Park, 2200 Milton Ave, Janesville, WI 53545 with calling two hours prior beginning at 11:00 am. In lieu of gifts, the family would like to request memorials be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, IN.
