Obituary for Rena Susie Belton

RENA S. BELTON, 92, of Fort Wayne passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Lutheran Life Village. She was born in Columbia, SC on March 14, 1925 to the late Eddie and Louisia (Nelson) Greene. Rena was a Foster Grandparent and a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church. She liked to sew, listen to gospel and blues music, but most importantly she loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are her daughters, Diana Gist; Wanda (Calvin) Canzater and Brenda (Victor) Kee; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Alberta Lyles and Mildred McPherson and a host of nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by husband, Thomas Belton, Jr.; daughter, Vanessa Belton; brothers, Eddie Greene and John Greene; sisters, Earline Jackson; Eddie Mae Henry and Dorothy Hill and two grandchildren.

Funeral service is 1 pm Monday, August 28, 2017 at Community Baptist Church 3032 Smith Street. Rev. Thayer Williamson officiating. Calling will be from 11 am until time of service.

Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
