Some of my best junior high school memories were from Mr. Zuercher's shop classes. Projects I remember were a candle holder, a tin candy box, a hot dog roasting fork (see picture and note how it has been well-used over the years), horse head casting, electric buzzer, and an electric motor. Later when I was in high school, a couple days after the blizzard of '78, I walked the mile to his house to borrow his Heathkit TV pattern generator. He was an outstanding teacher and highly influential in my decision to pursue an engineering career. Sunday school class camp-outs and pal-ing around with Greg and Brian are also among my best memories. Well done, Mr. Zuercher. See you in heaven some day.

This is “Schnigglefritz” as Joyce used to call me! He, being a close friend to my brother and cousin to us, will be missed with very fond memories.
Our families initially lived very close to each other, actually on the same street in New Haven. I recall good times spent together. Their son, Greg, was such a cutie and he became our ring-bearer some 51 years ago.
Both of us attended Ball State and I recall catching a ride home back then in their Voltzwagon.
Both he and Will taught at New Haven H.S. and recall some car pooling than also.
I am so glad that I got to talk with Marion and he at my brother’s 50 year Hartford class reunion.
Our sympathies and prayers to all the families.
