Obituary for James Edward "Jimmy" Hughes

James Edward "Jimmy"  Hughes
James E. “Jimmy” Hughes, 48, of Fort Wayne, IN died January 24, 2018 at Parkview Hospital Randallia. Born February 5, 1969 in Roanoke, VA, he was the only son of Samuel and Teresa (Shelton) Hughes. Jimmy was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retiree of the U.S. Postal Service following 14 years of delivering mail in North Myrtle Beach, SC. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan who enjoyed fishing and loved old cars, especially El Caminos and Camaros, and motorcycles.

Surviving are his wife, Deborah (Bair) Hughes; daughter, Samarah Lynn Hughes; and mother, Teresa Hughes. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Hughes.

Funeral service is 11 AM Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Fairhaven Funeral Home 6557 N. Clinton Street with visitation one-hour prior. Visitation also 4 – 7 PM Monday, January 29, 2018 at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.
