Herbert Matthias, age 80, passed away August 11, 2018 at his home in Fort Wayne. He was born May 25, 1938 to the late Howard and Frieda Matthias. Herbert was the owner and operator of Herb Matthias Service, Inc. He is survived by his wife Karen Matthias of New Haven, IN; daughter, Kaylene (Jeffrey) Smith of New Haven, IN; son, Heath (Marianne) Matthias of Carmel, IN; and 2 granddaughters, Alyson and Sophia; and his basset hound, Gomer. Herbert was preceded in death by his sisters, Myra Dennis and Elma Tyler. Per Herbert's request there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the Allen County SPCA.
