The world lost a gentleman and a pure professional in all the things he did, whether in the state police or when he ran the police academy. While I have not seen him in a few years, I lost a good friend and my heart is like the families, broken. George Kamage

Gene was a special man and a friend when I reported to Pocono barracks in July 1967. I remember him teaching me the ropes when we rode together the first few months on the job. He was a good man. May God give peace and comfort to his wife and family.

Dear Marge, Chris and Carol
I was very sad to hear of Gene’s passing. You all have my heartfelt condolences for your loss. I have many fond memories of the time he and I spent together during our annual two week summer vacation with grandma and grandpa Baidas in Pennsylvania. The fun part was grandma’s baby was only 2 years older than me so uncle and nephew spent a lot of time together. We picked huckleberries up at the high school so grandma could make pies, walked the railroad tracks, went fishing up at the lake with grandpa and did many other fun things that we could squeeze into a too short summer vacation. As we got older our excursions went farther afield because Gene had a drivers license and access to a car. We had great times and I had and still have great memories. I know that you will also have fond memories to share during these difficult times. Joe Kokoszka
