Julia and family -- our deepest condolences. I met Dave at Magnavox 1968 and worked with him occasionally and intermittently until my retirement in 2011. Also had continuing contact with him through the "KLUB" retiree dinners/lunches and working on the Magnavox history book. Many fond memories of Dave's pleasant personality. Paul and Karen Wolfgram P.S. So sorry we didn't make it to calling hours nor the funeral service, we were out of state on "grandparent duty for one of our three grandsons.

I first met Dr. Dave Peterson as a young Junior Engineer at Magnavox Government and Industrial Electronics Company after moving to Fort Wayne in 1975. Dave was a brilliant engineer and was always so willing to help me out with technical issues and concepts. He had a wonderful and unique ability to take very complex technical issues and explain them at a level that someone like me with less experience and knowledge could understand. Throughout my 34 plus years at Magnavox, Hughes, and Raytheon Dave was always available to give his valuable time and expertise whenever I needed it. After moving into the Bellshire Community in 1987 Dave and I became neighbors and I got to work with him on many Bellshire Association projects. He did many great things for Bellshire and his neighbors and always inspired me with his very pleasant and optimistic attitude. Susan and I offer our prayers and deepest condolences to Dave’s wife Julia; his children Lisa, Brian, Scott, and Sarah; his stepchildren John Davis and Anne Davis; and the rest of his family and many friends. Dave was a great neighbor, a great co-worker, a fellow musician, a fellow ham radio operator, a great friend, and a great man! I will miss him very much!

Julie - Our hearts ache for you in losing Dave. It was obvious that you two had something special. Your relationship was a wonderful mentor for so many.

Our heartfelt condolences to Julia, the children and Dave's siblings, Tom, Nancy and Greg and their spouses. Though I did not know Dave well, I felt as though I did through the love of his parents, Reed and Bev. Reed and Bev were our treasured next door neighbors for years until their health failed. Many a conversation we enjoyed through the years. His parents were very proud of their children. It was always an event when Dave and Julia would travel to La Crosse to see his folks. It was exciting and Reed would speak of the tech troubles he sometimes had and how Dave would know just what to do. Bev loved the conversations and time together. One could not help but feel their excitement when the family gathered. Now, gone to soon, he joins his family once again. Julia, I hope you find comfort in your family and friends. Your faith will help sustain you and know that prayers have been offered to comfort you and provide you with whatever you need now and beyond. Forever grateful for the kindnesses you have shown my family.
Sue Rentschler, Ann Abing and Tom Rentschler.
