Barbara J. (Ridge) Sholund, 79, of Fort Wayne died Friday, August 31, 2018, at St. Anne’s Home. She grew up in Lima, Ohio and later lived in South Bend and Fort Wayne, Indiana, as well as Springfield, Ohio, with her husband, the late LeRoy (Lee) Sholund. Barb graduated from Lima Senior High School and worked in secretarial roles, as well as in retail. She loved working with customers and was gifted in interior décor, prompting her to open her own shop, Creative Accents, in Canterbury. Barb especially loved using her talent at Christmastime, often decorating not only every room in her own home, but also decorating for others during the holiday season. Barb’s ultimate joy—and favorite topic of conversation—was her grandchildren. She loved watching them play baseball and hockey, getting to as many games as possible. Barb is survived by her sons, Timothy Sholund of Fort Wayne and South Bend, and Rick (Jennifer Lynn) Sholund of Fort Wayne; her grandsons Jacob Tyler, Erick John, and Isaac Daniel Sholund; and brother, Bruce (Wendy) Ridge of South Bend, IN. Service is 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 6, 2018 at FairHaven Funeral Home, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling one hour prior.
