Obituary for Zachary David Kieser

Zachary David Kieser, age 24, of Fort Wayne passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 26th, 2023 in Portland, ME while on a family vacation. He was born in Auburn, IN to his surviving parents, David and Jodi Kieser of Fort Wayne.

Zac always loved to learn and thoroughly enjoyed getting his Bachelor’s degree in history and English from Purdue Fort Wayne. He had recently completed a Master’s degree in history and was looking forward to and preparing for teaching history online as an adjunct professor this fall at Purdue Fort Wayne. He enjoyed learning about a variety of topics, reading books of all kinds, watching sports with family, and planning trips to explore national parks and historical sites. He also loved to discuss many topics with family and friends and share insightful thoughts.

Zac was a member of Headwaters Church in Fort Wayne. Ultimately, it was Zac’s priority to personally spend time with God studying the Bible and in prayer. He fully rested in the truth that his only hope in life and death was that he was not his own but belonged, both body and soul, to God and to his Savior Jesus Christ.

Zac is also survived by his siblings, Hayli Kieser, Luke Kieser, Katie Kieser, and Seth Kieser all of Fort Wayne; maternal grandparents, Al and Vicki Hartzler of Princeville, IL; paternal grandmother, Shirley Kieser of Roanoke, IL; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David Kieser.

Service is 10:00 am, Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Headwaters Church, 2000 N. Wells St., with calling one hour prior. Calling also 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Headwaters Church. Burial will take place at Concordia Cemetery Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Desiring God at www.desiringgod.org. Zac was so encouraged by the truth of Scripture. To sign the online guestbook, go to www.fairhavenfortwayne.com.
