Wilma E. Janeway, 92, passed away Monday, October 3, 2022. Born in Terre Haute, Indiana, Wilma was the daughter of the late Max and Stella (Gaskill) Anderson. Wilma worked for Magnavox for over 30 years, prior to working for ITT and Raytheon. In the 70’s, Wilma got an associates degree in interior decorating from I.U. She did several projects, one being Chen’s Chinese Restaurant in the Northcrest Shopping Center. Wilma was an avid reader, she re-caned antique chairs, was a great seamstress, and was an animal lover, taking care on many kitties over her 92 years. Wilma and her husband enjoyed square dancing and were in the group “The Hoe Downers.” Surviving are her sons, James (Cheryl) Janeway, David (Nancy) Janeway; grandchildren, Matthew Janeway, Thea (Jake) Janeway, Paul (Penny) Janeway; great-grandchildren, Skylare and Jordyn. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband James Janeway; and son, Michael Janeway. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
