William "Tom" Wyant, age 80, of Fort Wayne and formerly of Kokomo, IN passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Kokomo to the late William "Clay" and Catherine Wyant. Tom served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force and later a member of VFW Post 1152 of Kokomo serving as Quarter Master. He worked 32 years as an electrician with Delco Electronics retiring in 1997 and enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. Tom is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lahoma Wyant of Fort Wayne; children, Bill (Teresa) Wyant Jr. of Fort Wayne, and Michele (Greg) Schroeter of Bloomfield, CT; grandchildren, Bill (Meghan) Wyant III, Cassie (Alex) Wyant, David Wyant, Morgan Schroeter, and Marissa Schroeter; great-grandchildren, Owen and Cooper; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by four siblings. Service is 1:00 pm, Friday, October 27, 2023 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., with calling two hours prior beginning at 11:00 am. Burial is at Huntertown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
