Obituary

William “Bill” Jordan, 79, passed away on Friday Sept 6th at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home. Bill earned his Doctor of Psychology from Columbia University, as well as a degree in Naturopath. Some of Bills favorite things to do were studying, reading, his love of learning never ceased. He also enjoyed following the Chicago Cubs. Bill worked for Deister Machine for 37 years before retiring in 2007. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Loretta, his children; Troy (Maryann), Jim, Bill (Michelle), and Chris. 10 Grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, and 3 step great grandchildren, brother, Denny (Jane) Jordan. He was preceded in death by his parents Kenny and Katherine. Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday Sept 11th at 12:00 pm at St Patrick Catholic Church 2120 S. Harrison St with calling 2 hours prior. Preferred memorials may be made to the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home or St Jude Children’s Hospital. Interment will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

My heart is broken. Bill was my PE teacher in school but also like a second father to me growing up in my St. Pats days. All us kids hung out at Jordan’s and I loved them all as family. I hadn’t seen him in many years and am so thankful I was back in Ft. Wayne a couple years ago to reconnect with him and the rest of the Jordan’s. You are all in heart and in my prayers...
