Obituary for Vince Edward Metheny
Vince Edward Metheny, 39, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, losing the fight to a long and enduring battle with degenerative disc disease, chronic pain, and depression. Born in Lagrange, Indiana, Vince was the son of Eric and Marsha (Munger) Metheny. Vince graduated from Woodbury High School in Woodbury, Minnesota. From an early age, Vince found his passion for billiards. Vince enjoyed every aspect of the game, from setting up tables to tutoring others on the best shot to take. He was a very talented billiards player who won many tournaments and awards throughout the years. Playing billiards even introduced him to his soulmate Miranda Romano. They both enjoyed playing and compiling awards together. Vince had a hilarious sense of humor and was always optimistic. His compassion and wiliness to help and encourage others was endless. He loved cooking, enjoyed writing poetry, and loved all sports. Vince will be missed dearly by all of those who knew him. Surviving are his parents, Eric and Marsha; his soulmate, Miranda Romano; biological father, Frank Zaffino; close siblings, Stacey Trausch, Jacqueline Metheny; a number of half siblings; grandparents, Allen and Ann Metheny; along with numerous nieces, nephews, additional close relatives and extended family members. Vince was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lynn and Velda Jane Munger. Service is 4 pm, Saturday, September 2, 2023, at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N.
