Timothy M. Warner, 97, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, February 14, 2022. Born in Davenport, Iowa, Timothy was a son of the late J. Ward and Maud Warner. After graduating from Davenport High School, Timothy served as a Chaplain’s Assistant with the 95th Infantry, seeing combat in the Battle of the Bulge in WWII. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Taylor University, a master’s from New York Theological Seminary, and a doctorate from Indiana University. Timothy served as a professor, then academic dean, and later president of Fort Wayne Bible College, and as professor and director of doctoral programs at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He was on staff with Freedom in Christ Ministries, and a member of the Board of Directors for Deeper Walk Ministries, International Center for Biblical Counseling, Indiana Biblical Counseling Center, Thriving Life Ministries, and Love Community Center. Timothy also authored a number of books and articles.
Surviving are his children: Cheryl (Daniel) Jore, Timothy (Linda) Warner, Gwen (David) DeSelm, Marcus (Brenda) Warner; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and brother, Paul Warner. Timothy was preceded in death by wives Evangeline Witmer Warner, Eleanor Waltman Neuenschwander Warner, and Eileen Lageer Warner; grandson, Jonathan Warner; and siblings Jean, John, Gordon, Marjorie, Grace, and Mary. Calling will be Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 2 pm to 5 pm at Fellowship Missionary Church, 2536 E. Tillman Rd.
