Obituary for Steven J. Bollier

Steven John Bollier, age 70, died on Sunday, March 17, 2019 peacefully surrounded by family at his home in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on September 6, 1948, to John (Jack) and Velma Bollier and was the oldest of five boys. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carolyn of 31 years, and father in law, LaMoine (Peach) Miller. He is survived by his wife, Pam Bollier, his four children, Jennifer (Mike), Andy (Suzy), Katie (Ryan), Adam (Lori), Pam’s sons, Don (Krista), Aaron (Sheena) and 22 grandchildren. He is also survived by his four brothers, Gary (Christy), Ron (Edie), Phil (Stephanie) and Jim (Rhonda). Steve will be remembered as a humble and thoughtful man of faith that gave his life to serving the Lord through the church and loving his family. He was also a caring son, ornery brother, loyal friend, trusted mentor, committed church leader, and a respected educator. His life is exemplified by character and respect for others. He loved being around kids and gave his career to being an outstanding role model to all of the students that were fortunate enough to know him. Steve started teaching in Fort Wayne Community Schools in 1970 and later served as principal of Weisser Park, district superintendent for South Side and North Side High Schools and all of its feeder schools, and lastly with Charter Schools with the Leona Group. A Celebration of Life service is 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Fellowship Missionary Church, 2536 E. Tillman Rd., with calling one hour prior. Immediately following the service will be a time of fellowship at the church. Calling also Friday, March 22, 2019 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm also at the church.
