Obituary for Rosaria Marian Husted (Mondello)

Rosaria M. “Rose” (Mondello) Husted, 79, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Rose was a daughter of the late Phillip and Victoria Mondello. Before starting a family, she worked as a secretary in Chicago. She later balanced motherhood while working as a bartender at the Oasis in St. Joe as well as an office assistant at Riverdale Elementary. She was a waitress at the Lucky Steer restaurant and also at the Bowling Alley in Hicksville Ohio, and then worked as an office manager for rainbow vacuums as well as a telemarketer. She was always available to spend time with her grandchildren, whom loved her dearly. Rose had a beautiful singing voice if you sat close enough to her at church, as she was very shy about it. As a child, she took piano lessons and her proudest moment was playing Swan Lake "with the pedal too!" as she would say. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan, loved watching the game show network each day, and enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling. Surviving are her children, Raymond Leato, Frances Leato Hutton, Vicki, Kim, Vita Rose, Franklin Wilson Jr., Glenn (Amy) Wilson; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and brother, Alfonso Mondello. Rose was preceded in death by her sister, Jacqueline. Private Family Services. Memorials may be made to the Colon Cancer Coalition. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
