Bob has been coming into Riegel's for maybe two plus years. He had a schedule and would come in about closing time, buy two newspapers and talk to everyone who was in the store at the time.
Bob started talking to me about his grandson who plays football. He was very proud of him and how well he plays. He kept me up to date on his football career. I have pictures of Bob's ND hat on my phone, because I can't remember names well, so I love that his hat had the ND player's # and player's name on it. He was looking forward to seeing you play next year. Bob also told me how smart he is, he bragged about all of his family.
He was a very friendly and knowledgeable man and I am glad that I got to know him.

Thank you so much Anne. My brother was the best guy in my eyes. I loved him so much. What you said is so important to his grandson Zane. He is defensive end for Notre Dame. Bobby was proud of his grandson for this. As well as his other grandchildren Ava, and Hale. I appreciate your thoughts as we grieve the great loss of my brother. It will never be the same in my family.

At one time, Bob worked for Jon Tessman ( deceased). Bob was always so kind and friendly to me and my children (Tim and Tina) when we would be at the furniture/carpet store. My heartfelt sympathy to your entire family. Sincerely, Corinne (Corky) Tessman.

I haven't found any pictures of Uncle Bob yet, but I did stumble across these pics of Todd and Blake from Christmas. I'd guess this was 1985 or 1986.

I remember my Uncle Bobby as having the biggest personality in the room. As a little kid, his booming voice and boisterous disposition could be a little overwhelming. As I grew I appreciated that he really loved people and wanted to share his gift by connecting with others. I remember having family Christmas at the Waterbed Shed. We kids thought is was pretty cool to bounce around on the waterbeds during the celebration. I had not seen Uncle Bobby in years and I regret that now. It's a good reminder to stay in touch with our loved ones. I miss all of the Heemsoths, especially now! Love, Jennifer
