Richard D. Mueller, 85, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana Richard was the son of the late Martin and Esther Mueller. He served our country as a US Navy Korean War veteran. Richard worked for Aramark for 40 years prior to his retirement in 2005. He enjoyed golfing, watching the Chicago White Sox and spending time with his family. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are his children, Michael (Sandra) Mueller or Fort Wayne, Debra (Jim Savage) Mueller of Fort Wayne; brother, Don (Connie) Mueller of Churubusco; 6 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Connie (Wilt) and Richard's 7 siblings. Service is 11 am, Friday, September 21, 2018 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Service with calling one hour prior. Calling at the funeral home Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the VA Hospital in Fort Wayne. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Doctors and Nurses at the VA Hospital and Home Healthcare Service to Richard during his illness.
