Richard Koeneman, 85, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Born in Hoagland, Indiana, Richard was the son of the late Ervin and Vera Koeneman. Richard earned his degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, and his degree in Education from the University of Saint Francis. He was a teacher with East Side High School for over 30 years. He loved teaching art to his students. Richard enjoyed fishing, helping others in need and spending time with his family. Surviving are his children, Julie Schroth, Christy (Dave) Nei both of Fort Wayne; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Koeneman; son Mark Koeneman; and 3 siblings. Service is 1 pm, Friday, September, 28, 2018 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St, with calling from 10 am until the service. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
