Obituary for Regina Joan "Gina" Limpert

Regina Joan “Gina” Limpert, 76, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 following a 7 year battle with two bouts of cancer. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 16, 1944, Gina was the daughter of the late Walter and Charlotte Augustyniak. Noted for her sense of humor, she never lost that. She handled some serious health challenges over those years with grace and courage. Always industrious, Gina began employment while still in high school and continued until her retirement from International Harvester Co. when pregnant with her second son. Her work outside the home was primarily in what was then known as data processing, computer related activities. She has been a long-time member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and has enjoyed many friends and pleasant associations from there. She attended services regularly and greatly valued the reinforcement of her faith in our Lord. Her attendance continued until illness gradually confined her to home, then finally long term care. She is now released from suffering and in the merciful hands of God. Gina is survived by husband, Max; and a son by former marriage, David Dullaghan of Kokomo; and by son, Matthew Limpert of Fort Wayne; sisters, Stephanie Heidenreich, Andrea Parker both of Fort Wayne, Victoria Persaud of Tampa, FL; brother, Anthony Augustyniak of Hoagland; as well as two granddaughters and three great-granddaughters. Gina will be sorely missed by those who knew her. Calling will be Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, from 3 pm to 7 pm. Private Family Services will be held. For those who wish to attend the calling we ask that all wear face masks and practice social distancing for the safety of others. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be directed to Visiting Nurse Foundation; or Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
