Rebecca “Becky” Colleen Nichols, 73, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022. She was born to the late Eugene and Gladys (Riddle) Fitzsimmons on January 25, 1949 in Crawfordsville, IN. Over 17 years Becky took care of children out of her home and for ten years worked at Tampa Tannery. Becky was a very devout Christian and attended The Chapel with her family. Becky loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, taking walks, and going to family reunions.
Becky is survived by her husband of 53 years, Larry Nichols; children, Craig Nichols, Derek (Katrina) Nichols, and Christy (Rodney) Naylor; grandchildren, Antonia Burd, Devin Naylor, Christian Naylor, Gabriella Naylor, Alexander Naylor, Maxwell Nichols, Myah Nichols, Isabella Nichols, Isaac Nichols, and Ivan Nichols; great-grandchildren, Estella Lessner-Naylor, Devin II Naylor, and Asher Wilson; siblings, Joy (Will) Northcutt, Rodney (Cathy) Fitzsimmons, and Gary (Rebecca) Fitzsimmons; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Jamison; brother, Kent Fitzsimmons; daughter-in-law, Debra Nichols; and 2 nephews.
Funeral service will be on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at Concordia Gardens Cemetery.
