Raymond A. Moyer, 97, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022. Born in Troy, Ohio, Raymond was a son of the late William and Henrietta Moyer. He graduated from Staunton High School in 1943. Following school, he served in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman during WWII. In 1947, he married Ruth Aughbaugh and they had 71 years together, prior to her passing in 2018. He worked as an Assistant Superintendent for Braun Brothers in Troy Ohio; then as sales supervisor for Griffith Laboratories. He was a past president for Indiana Food Technologists and served as president at his residence counsel; along with being an active volunteer in his retirement community. He was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Barbara O'Connell-Moyer; children, Judith (Gene) Overholser, William “Bill” (Barbara) Moyer, Jane (Timothy) Shown; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn Madigan. Raymond was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Moyer; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. Service is 11 am, Monday, December 5, 2022 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1505 Bethany Lane, with calling from 10 am until the service. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens.
