Philip "Todd" Edmonds, 55, passed away at home surrounded by his family on June 26, 2019. He was born on June 30, 1963 in Fort Wayne. Todd graduated from Northrop High School and went on to play basketball for Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, MI where he received his BA in communications. Todd currently was employed by D&W Fine Pack as a warehouse supervisor. He was previously employed by Wellspring summer program and FWCS for 19 years where he spent many of those years coaching basketball due to his love of coaching and mentoring of young players. He also coached basketball camps at Notre Dame, Michigan State, and Tennessee for many years where he made life long friends. Todd was a member of New Covenant Worship Center. Todd is survived by his loving wife of 6 years, his Angel, Dawn Edmonds; son, Philip (Nicole) Edmonds of Fort Wayne; daughter, Paige Edmonds of Fort Wayne; son, Alan-Michael (Kristin) Smith of Huntertown, IN; daughter, Autumn (Noah Cech) Weaver of Fort Wayne; 5 beautiful grandchildren, Bosten Edmonds, Sawyer Weaver, Hudson Cech, Parker Weaver, and Hope Smith; parents, Viola Edmonds and Fred Bolton of Fort Wayne; grandmother, Mama Louise Tanner of Champagne, IL; brother, Keith (Allison) Edmonds of Fort Wayne; sister, LaVonya Cleveland of Fort Wayne; brother, Brian (Shenita) Bolton of Fort Wayne; and many nieces and nephews. Todd was preceded in death by his father, Robert Edmonds. A celebration of life will be 11:00 am, Saturday, July 13, 2019 at New Covenant Worship Center, 3420 E. Paulding Rd.
