Patricia Louise Gibson, 86, of Warsaw, Ind. passed away on Thursday October 26th, 2023 at home. Pat was born in Fort Wayne, Ind. She graduated from Central High School. Pat worked as a cook for American Legion Post 253 for 15 years. She was actively involved in the VFW, American Legion, and AMVETS. Pat married Bert E. Gibson, on February 14th 1953, and they were married for 46 years until his passing in 1999.
Pat is survived by her children, Bert (Sissy) Gibson, Jon (Robin) Gibson, Rick (Marsha) Gibson, Brenda (Dan) VanGilder, Mark (Cathy) Gibson, and Penny (Larry) Hissong; 17 grandchildren including Travis Hissong; 39 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and 31 nieces and nephews; siblings, Sharon (Chaney) Traughber, and Tom Chaney.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Larry Chaney, David Chaney, Paul Chaney, Carolyn (Chaney) McFall, Marilyn Chaney, Steve Chaney, Robert Chaney, Ron Chaney, Bonnie (Chaney) McClemore, Jim Chaney.
Funeral service will take place on Wednesday November 1st, 2023 at 1:00pm with visitation beginning at 11:00am, all at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N Clinton St. Fort Wayne, IN. Burial will take place at Lindenwood Cemetery. Preferred memorials in Pat’s honor may be directed to the family in care of Bert Gibson.
