Obituary

Norman Carl Linnemeier, 89, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Louis and Martha Linnemeier. Norman worked his entire life on his family farm. He was a member of Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Norman is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Linnemeier of Fort Wayne; children, Wayne (Treasa) Linnemeier of Fort Wayne, and Darlene Watkins of Tucson, AZ; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Linnemeier. Service is 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 6318 W. California Rd., with calling two hours prior beginning at 12:00 pm. Burial in Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery. Norman was one of those men you NEVER heard anyone say a bad word about. He and Dorothy were great neighbors.
And, not the least of which,he was an excellent farmer.
I also believe that he was the last living (non Amish) farmer I knew personally that farmed with horses as an adult.

Our sympathies to Dorothy and family in the loss of Norman. I remember the good times we had as cousins when we got together at our special occasions to celebrate birthdays or just getting together for a fun evening.
