Nancy Sue Lawrence, age 80, of Fort Wayne passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at her home. She was born in Fort Wayne to the late Elmer and Ruth Lee. Nancy worked as a legal secretary for Burt, Blee, Dixon, Sutton and Bloom and was a devout Catholic and active member of St. Jude Catholic Church. She helped her daughters in a family garden in the summer and loved canning. She was generous, kind, and loving. She was an avid knitter and would donate her slipper, socks, gloves and hats to rescue shelters, school kids and women shelters. Nancy was always so full of life and fun to be around and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband for 59 years, David Lawrence of Fort Wayne; daughters, Julie (Jeff) Logsdon, Janice (Cherie Crooks) Lawrence, and Jennifer Nycum all of Fort Wayne; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and brother, Lynn (Margaret) Lee. Nancy is preceded in death by her brother, Bernard Lee. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr., with calling one hour prior. Calling also 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services. 6557 N. Clinton St. with a Rosary service at 7:30 pm.
