Obituary for Nancy Diane Burns (Barts)
Nancy, D. Burns, 74, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, December 23rd, 2022 surrounded by her family. Nancy graduated from LaPaz High School in LaPaz, Ind. in 1966. She was previously employed in an accounting office and a dental office. Nancy also owned her own business, Glass Impressions, where she specialized in glass etching for awards and trophies.
Her hobbies included growing and sharing her beautiful flowers, many of which can be seen all over different areas of Allen County. She was also an artist and was a talented oil and water color painter. Her grandchildren brought her the most joy and she cherished her time with them more than anything else.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 28 years, David Burns; sons, Robert (Erin) Jackson, Todd (Jamie) Jackson, and Eric Jackson; 7 grandchildren; brother David (Barb) Barts; her dear lifelong friends, Patricia Pembroke, and Kathleen Bennett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ruth Barts; and the father of her 3 sons, Richard Jackson.
Funeral service for Nancy will take place on Friday, December 30th 2022 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior, visitation will also take place on Thursday December 29th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, all at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. Burial in Leo Memorial Cemetery. Preferred memorials in Nancy’s honor may be directed to Parkview Hospice or American Cancer Society.
