Obituary for Marc Joshua Davidson

Marc J. Davidson, age 49, of Fort Wayne went to be with Jesus on Monday, May 9, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Aurora, IL to the late Stephanie Davidson and Donald (Sigrid) Davidson, who survives. He was raised in Minooka, IL, attended Helmar Lutheran Church, and graduated from Aurora Christian School in 1991 where he met his wife, Lisa. He attended the University of Illinois where he played basketball and later Trinity International University where he was an NAIA All-American.

Marc played eight seasons of professional basketball in France where he played for four different teams. After retiring from playing basketball he found a true passion in investing in the lives of young men through coaching. He taught and coached at Macomb Christian School (MI), Trinity International University (IL), Aurora Christian School (IL), Dominion Christian School (GA), Lakewood Park Christian School (IN), and most recently at Blackhawk Christian School (IN) where he won two state championships. Marc was a strongman competitor and an avid Cubs fan. He had a heart for adoption and bringing orphans to their forever home. Marc loved to laugh, eat, and compete, but most of all he loved his Lord, his wife, and his children. His ultimate mission was to point others to Christ and demonstrate His love.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lisa Davidson of Fort Wayne; children, Wes (Ashton), Will (Sarah), Frankie, Marcus, Jimmy, Isaiah, and Jaela; and awaiting the arrival of his first grandson, Jack; siblings, Matthew (Julie) Davidson of Elmhurst, IL and Malinda (Marshall) Johnson of Crawfordsville, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
