Linda Kay Padgett, 73, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 at her home in Fort Wayne. She was born in Paintsville, KY to the late Ella Jean Fairchild. Linda was a dedicated home healthcare aide for over 20 years. She enjoyed shopping and vacationing, and most of all spending time and caring for her family. Linda is survived by her husband of 55 years, Lonnie Padgett; children, Duane (Jamie Swihart) Padgett of Goshen, IN, and Melissa Padgett of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Christopher, Brittany, Tyler, and Kaylee; four great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy (John Martin) Oetting of Fremont, IN; several cousins; nieces and nephews; and her puppy Sophie Sue. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Joe Fairchild. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Allen County SPCA.
