L.G. Halsey, 71, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020. Born in Kendallville, Indiana, L.G. was the son of the late William “Fred” and Novella Halsey. L.G. loved music and was a disc jockey for many years. He found his calling at his last job at Mentor Inc. L.G. desired to help others in need and his passionate care, patience, and guidance was felt by so many. L.G. also loved bargain shopping for the newest things. He loved to cook, and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his siblings, Fred (Brenda) Halsey, Lola (Michael) Whitman, Joe (Deb) Halsey, Linda Odem, Rhonda (Shawn) Kondas; along with many nieces and nephews, and his longtime friend, Penny North. L.G. was preceded in death by his brother in law, Jerry Newton. Due to Covid-19, Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Autism Speaks.
