Kayla Harmon, 31, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday March 7th at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Kayla graduated from Eastbrook High School in Marion, IN. She was employed by Star Bank as a personal banker for several years before becoming a branch manager with 5/3 Bank. Kayla cherished her time as a mother and wife and had infinite love for her family and friends. Kayla was selfless as she fought a courageous two year battle with cancer, always thinking of others first and never letting on that she was struggling. Kayla’s straightforwardness and outgoing personality left her loved and appreciated by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
She is survived by her husband, Justin; daughters, Harper Jean, and Avery Grace; mother, Marcia Heinzen; father, John (Cathy) Heinzen; siblings, Sarah Heinzen, and Stephanie (Brad) Walpole; grandmothers, Zelma Bennett, and Aileen Heinzen; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews. Preferred memorials in Kayla’s honor may be directed to Harper and Avery’s Education Account c/o Justin. A Celebration of Life will take place at 11906 Bryie Road Churubusco Ind. 46723 on Saturday March 27th from 12-6 pm, where food will be provided.
