Kathy R. Cooper, 62, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at University Hospital of Indianapolis, IN. She was born in Middletown, OH to the late John Skaggs and Sonya "Jean" McCormick. Kathy worked as a medical assistant and a school bus driver for MSD Washington Township of Indianapolis and Fort Wayne Community Schools. She also served as an adult volunteer for Indiana Job's Daughters, currently serving as Vice Grand Guardian and was a local coordinator for the Greenheart Exchange. Kathy will be remembered as a loving and caring friend, who was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Lynn Cooper of Fort Wayne; children, David (Amy) Ridenour of Ossian, IN, Phillip (Daniella) Myers of Carmel, IN, Matthew Cooper of Fort Wayne, Rebecca (Derek) Huntington of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren, Spencer, Allyson, Jackson, Elizabeth, Zachary, Rylee, Connor, and Cooper; great-grandson, Taylor; one sister; and five brothers. Kathy was preceded in death by one sister. Service is 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling one hour prior. Calling also 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Monday, May 10, 2021 at the funeral home with a Living Cross Service at 5:00 pm. The family requests that those attending wear purple to honor Kathy. Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials maybe made to the Indiana Job's Daughters Education Foundation.
