June Loraine (Gonder) Otalski, 90, took her wings to her heavenly home on June 24, 2023. June was born in South Bend, Indiana to the late Labon and Mildred Gonder. She attended Clay High School in Roseland, Indiana and was in the band playing flute and in sports playing soccer. She married David Otalski in October 1957 out of that marriage she had two daughters, Ruth Ann who passed and Deborah who survives. In 1980, Jane relocated and moved to Baldwin, Michigan and started a new life with Dewayne Brewer a companion for 37 years. She worked in various positions during her retirement. Some of June’s favorite things were fishing, mushroom hunting, puzzles, word searches, playing board games, cards, and collecting owls which she accumulated over 600. June relocated to Fort Wayne in August of 2009. She joined Mt. Calvary in 2010 and rededicated her life and was baptized under Pastor Nickelson. June was part of the Sisterhood Breakfast Group, widows recovery group, and became a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, companion, Dewayne Brewer; daughter, Ruth Ann Otalski; sister, Annamay Turner; son-in-law, Charles Jones. She leaves to cherish her memories to daughter, Deborah Jones; 5 grandchildren; Tiffany (Dennis) Campbell of NC, Tondra (Edward) Wright, TeQua (Marq) Jones, Sherese Jones, Angie Ricketts all of Fort Wayne; 8 great-granddaughters, 4 great-grandsons; and brother, Richard Gonder of Florida. Service is 12 pm, Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 5515 Hanna Street, with calling one hour prior.
