John "Bob" R. Painter, age 82, passed away November 9, 2018 at his home in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne and later adopted to the late Paul and Jewell Painter. Bob attended Culver Military Academy, a graduate of North Side High School, and later attended IU Bloomington, he also served in the National Guard during his younger years. He was the owner and operator of ORN & Company and currently worked for Progressive Parking at Parkview Randallia where he loved his job and was proud to be employed. The highlight of Bob's career was finishing #1 in the United States for a sales achievement. He will be remembered for the love and kindness he showed to others. Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia Painter of Fort Wayne; his beloved snoodle, Sophie; 2 step-sons, Greg (Teresa) Brown and Kevin Brown; 6 children from a previous marriage; and several grandchildren. Service is 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., with a calling one hour prior. Calling also Wednesday, November 14, 2018, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial in Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton, IN.
