Obituary for John Wesley Kelley

John Wesley Kelley, age 90, of Fort Wayne passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022. He was born in Auburn, IN to the late Charles and Minerva Kelley. John began farming at the age of 13 at his family farm in Auburn, IN after his father passed away. In 1964, he began his career in car sales with the Kelley Automotive Group, and later sold the family farm relocating to Fort Wayne in 1966. He worked in the Kelley Automotive Group for the next 50 years serving his community and making many friends along the way. John was a longtime member of Brookside Church. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, loved all sports especially basketball faithfully cheering on I.U. and the Blackhawk Christian Braves. John is survived by his children, Kristine (Jim) Douglas, Charles (Wendy) Kelley both of Fort Wayne; Steven (Lisa) Kelley of Nashville, TN, Lori (David) DeHaven, and Mike (Kara) Kelley both of Fort Wayne; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Kelley; son, Joesph Kelley; 3 brothers; and 5 sisters. Service is 10:00 am, Friday, June 24, 2022 at Brookside Church, 6102 Evard Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the church.
