Obituary

John R. Gaspar, 72, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Green Bay, WI to the late John and Arlene Gaspar. John proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy. He spent most of his working career in the Navy, and most recently he worked for Engineering Professional Service and Raytheon as a military communication specialist instructor. John attended Pathway Community Church. He is survived by his wife, Valerie Gaspar; children, David (Della) Gaspar, Daniel (Kathy) Gaspar, and Pamela Gaspar; nine grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. Service is 6:00 pm, Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling two hours prior beginning at 4:00 pm. Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to family. To sign the online guestbook, go to www.fairhavenfortwayne.com

I got to know John from Pathway Church as we were in the same small group. John was a dear heart and was liked by all as he was kind, caring, empathetic, thoughtful and cheerful with a positive outlook. He will be missed and I am sure heaven was delighted to have such a dear soul!
