Obituary for James Richard Wrixon
James Richard Wrixon was born on March 22, 1930. He was a loving husband, loving & nurturing father of 7 Children, and has 14 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
James was a dedicated and practicing Catholic and he used his gifts to serve others. He earned an Undergraduate Degree from Niagara Falls University and A Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from New York University (NYU) in the late 1950’s. He worked for Ford Motor Company in Detroit, MI in the 1960’s and then went on to his passion of teaching as a college professor at Eastern Michigan University in the 1970’s and Purdue University in the 1980’s. James was also a Korean War Era Veteran; he served as a Lieutenant.
James was happily married to his very loving and surviving wife Dorothy Jo Wrixon or affectionately known by her middle name “Jo” for 32 years.
James is survived by his Twin Brother Charlie Wrixon, and his nieces Anne and Jeannie Wrixon.
James is survived by his Seven (7) children with former wife & loving mother Barbara Haggerty. Barbara’s husband, Brian Haggerty is a loving & faithful second Father to his Children, Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren:

Donna Weeks (Daughter) and her husband Larry Weeks parents of Michael and Jenny Weeks (Grandchildren). Michael (Grandson) and his Wife Joyce Weeks have two children Scott and Jake Weeks (Great Grandsons).

• James’s wife Jo’s Daughters Deborah Lewandowski & Dawn Parkison & Jo’s Son John Parkison (Deceased) and John’s wife Karen.
• Deborah’s Lewandowski’s children with her husband Michael are Brian Lewandowski and Shannon Stanley. Brian Lewandowski with his wife Kim and their children Brynn & Audrey Lewandowski and Deborah’s daughter Shannon Stanley and her husband Jake and their children Odinn & Wednesday Stanley.
• Dawn Parkison – her daughter Jennifer Lynne Prosser Sparkman and her children Chase, AJ and Alex & Dawn’s daughter Tara Marie Prosser Remfrey with husband Josh and their children Nicholas, Michael, Jonathon and Katelyn.
James was well loved, lived a wonderful life and will be missed. James was called home to be with the Lord on November 11, 2020 (Veteran’s Day 2020).

Mass of Christian Burial is 11 am, Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with calling one hour prior. Calling also Monday, November 16, 2020 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services from 5 pm to 7 pm. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
