Jack Stewart Mougin, 90, of Fort Wayne, was ushered to heaven on December 24th, 2022, in his
home surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born on February 14th, 1932, in Fort Wayne,
where he lived a full, vibrant life. Jack graduated from Northside High School in 1952, where he
played football and basketball, and met his high school sweetheart, Ruth. Jack and Ruth married
August 17, 1952 and went on to have five beautiful daughters, Jaretta, Jana, Jill, Jennifer, and Johnell.
Jack served in the Korean war as a paratrooper and was honorably discharged in 1954 after two
years of service. Jack then worked for Colonial Mortgage, Summit Bank, NBD Mortgage, and
retired from Chase Bank after devoting many years to his profession. Jack delighted in going to
church and was a longtime member of Calvary Temple and attended Pathway Community Church. Jack
most enjoyed being a laker, as he found immense joy in boating, skiing, and fishing, frequently
visiting Battle Lake in Minnesota, and Big Turkey Lake with his family. His greatest love was his
wife Ruthie, his daughters, and his grandchildren. Jack always doted on all his girls, as he was
one of the few men in the family. There was not a minute that Jack did not share how much he
loved his family, how beautiful they were, and how proud he was to be their spouse, father, and
grandfather. We will remember Jack for his wisdom, kindness, gentleness, generosity,
playfulness, and the love he so openly shared with others. Jack is survived by his wife, Ruth Mougin, and his five daughters: Jaretta (Mike) Johnson and children Joey and Julie, Jana (Bill) Petty and children Stacey, Sara, and Jack; Jill Fletter and children Olivia and Madison; Jennifer (Gregg) Henricks and children Jenna and Jorja; and Johnell (John) Keeley and children Jacklyn, Jessica, and Jay. Jack also leaves behind sixteen great-grandchildren. Jack was predeceased by his Father, Jewel Mougin, Mother, Gladys Richards and Brother, Charles Bredemeyer. Services will be held at Pathway Community Church (1010 Carroll Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46845) on January 6, 2023. Viewing at 10am, and service immediately following at Noon. Jack will be laid to rest at Highland Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Pathway Community Church.
