Donald L. Shafer, age 74, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 at his home. He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Russell and Audrey Kesling Shafer. Donald served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked at G.E. in the Engineering Development Lab for 28 years and was a member of the G.E. Quarter Century Club. He was also a member and director of the Newmar Kountry Klub. Donald is survived by his wife, Roxann Shafer; and son, Jeremy Shafer. A memorial gathering is 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Monday, August 15, 2022 at Shigs in Pit BBQ, 6250 Maplecrest Rd. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of N.E. Indiana or Stillwater Hospice.
