Obituary for Dean Allen Daily

Dean Allen Daily, age 96, formerly of Leo, IN passed away May 30, 2022 in Butler, IN. He was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late Ernest and Frances Daily. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of American Legion 409 of Leo, IN. Dean was trained as a tool and die maker, working for Magnavox after the war. He then sold car parts, tires and automotive lubricants for most of his later years. He and Jacky enjoyed 25 winters in Palmetto, FL. before she passed, having been married over 71 years. Their family brought them great joy, as well as friends across the country. A great honor for Dean was to go on an Honor Flight in 2014, he was so gratefull for the experience, and spoke of that day often.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara (Brian) Eager of Harlan, IN; grandchildren, Dr. Rebecca Eager of Maryland, Benjamin (Meena) Eager of West Virginia, and Brent (Elizabeth) Eager of Maryland; great-grandchildren, William, Harrison, and Everleigh Eager; and daughter-in-law, Lisa R. Daily of Florida. Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Jacquelyn Daily; son, Raymond Daily; and brother, Rupert Daily.

Service is 11:00 am, Saturday, June 25, 2021 at Leo United Methodist Church, 13527 Leo Rd. with calling one hour prior. Calling also, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, June 24, 2022 at the church.
