Obituary for David Allen Keener

David Allen Keener, 48, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018. Born in Columbia City, Indiana, David was the son of Jack Keener and Jeanne Bradley. David graduated from Wawasee High School and earned his bachelors degree in criminal justice from Ball State University. David was a state and national champion diver. That earned him the distinguished honor of being an Olympic qualifier. He worked for the FWPD for 10 years prior to getting into the construction industry. He enjoyed the outdoors, his dogs and cats, and will forever be known as the family clown. Surviving are his father, Jack (Kristine) Keener; mother, Jeanne (Dirk) Bradley; sons, Caleb Keener, Logan Keener; siblings, Lisa (Ron) Harker, and Andrew (Kristy) Keener. David was preceded in death by his brother Mark Keener. A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made for Caleb and Logan’s Education Fund in care of Andrew Keener. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
