Curtis Whitsett Sr., 57, of Fort Wayne, went to his Heavenly Home on Saturday May 1st. Curtis was born in Marion, Alabama to the late Lee Andrew and Rosaline Whitsett. He moved to Fort Wayne at a young age. Curtis was a good Christian and loving family man, “a big man with a big heart”. He loved to DJ and BBQ. Curtis is survived by his loving wife Stephanie; children, Roshawn(Kevin) West. Lesli Scott, Marcus Sullivan, Heather(Paul) Fisher, Adrianne Whitsett, Curtis Wayne Whitsett Jr(Sarah), Jayda Whitsett, and DaKyra Whitsett; siblings, Diana(Philan) Davis, Thereasa Whitsett, Stacie Whitsett, FranJessica Whitsett, Michael(Brenda) Cole, Owen(Tabatha) Cole, Steven(Sheila) Cole, and LaVonda Cole; Aunts and Uncles, Willa Cook, Ann Marie Whitsett-Wilson(Bennie), and James Whitsett; in-laws Bob and Judy Meyer. He was preceded in death by his daughter Janelle Scott. Funeral service for Curtis will be on Saturday May 8th at 1:00 pm with calling 2 hours prior all at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N Clinton St).
