Sherry loved her family and was loved by them very much!!! Sherry was a master at making a house a home with her creative ability to decorate. Sherry's emphasis was family and faith, living what she professed to believe and giving family priority. Sherry and her husband, Steve, were married on 8/30/1969. Almost 54 years ago. Their relationship dates back to 3/16/1963. 60 years of growing up and growing old and growing deeper in love with one another!

Sherry had the unique role of being a "pastor's wife." She was a gracious host. She was a very welcoming personality with a beautiful smile. Her faith was strong and her support for Steve was unwavering. She ministered to many young Moms and if there was a baby near you would find it in her arms! Her ministry to women always created BFF's. Sherry was a safe person for many who needed encouragement and prayer!

Sherry's jobs: office staff at an OBGYN practice, aide for students with special needs, school nurse's aide, marketing/advertisement for a real estate office, pre-school teacher and a few others. She found ways to help people with needs, especially women and children.

On January 2, 2023 Sherry had three seizures within a two hour time frame. The MRI images were confirmed by a biopsy as a stage 4 inoperative infiltrating astrocytoma malignancy originating deep within her brain. She passed peacefully at home on Saturday evening the 24th of June about 10:40 EST. She went home to Heaven receiving Jesus' promise of everlasting life. She is with Jesus and all who have gone before her! Sherry put her faith in Christ as a teen, trusting His loving plan for her life and believing in His saving grace.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church (600 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815) at 11:00 am officiated by Dr. Steven Roper. Visitation will be an hour prior at church from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. All are welcome to a dinner at church following the service.
