Charles W. “Chuck” Weick, 70, who resided in Coldwater, MI, passed away on April 11th, while vacationing in Florida. He was born on October 7th, 1949 to the late Marjorie and Roy Weick, in Fort Wayne, IN. Chuck was a graduate of Southside High School. While in school he played bass guitar in a band, The Chessmen. After high school he was attending classes at IPFW when he was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served honorably for 2 years. Chuck worked for International Harvester/ Navistar for 31 years as a Design Engineer. He also enjoyed driving race cars for over 20 years and was inducted into the Avilla Speedway Hall of Fame. He married Carol (McCoy) Weick, on April 11th 2003. She survives him. Chuck further leaves brothers Tom (Jean) Weick and Phillip (Kathy) Weick to cherish his memory. Chuck loved being stepdad and friend to Sean, David and JJ McCoy along with being grandpa to Madi, Macy, Doug, Izzy, Giada and London McCoy. He will also be missed by nephews Andrew, Bryan, Lee, Craig, and niece Abbie. His further interests included golfing, spending time on the lake with friends and family. He was a member of Fremont Moose and American Legion Post 47. Along with his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his son Scott Michael, stepson JJ McCoy and his beloved dog, Pepper. There will be a Celebration of Life/Memorial for Chuck in Fort Wayne, IN at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N Clinton St on July 6th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a short tribute at 6:30 PM. Memorials in Chucks honor may be directed to the Fort Wayne SPCA.
