Carl G. Warford, 92, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus, on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Kentucky, Carl was a son of the late Evert and Grace (Farthing) Warford. Carl worked at BF Goodrich for 30 years prior to his retirement. Carl had steadfast faith in the Lord and was an active member of Faith Baptist Church. He enjoyed the fellowship with his church family and enjoyed singing the old hymns. He enjoyed spending time at the Lake, woodworking, traveling, sitting in his recliner, and rooting the IU Basketball. Carl loved his family and cherished the time spending with them all. Surviving are his loving fiancé, Beth Schiebel; children, Richard (Barb) Warford, Carla (Dan) Evans, Vickie (Craig) Pettyjohn; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; and brother, Bev (Margaret) Warford. Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Rebecca Warford; 4 sisters, and 2 brother. A Celebration of Carl’s Life will be held on his would be 93rd Birthday 11 am, Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Faith Baptist Church, 6600 Trier Rd, with calling one hour prior. Calling also on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church or Heartland Hospice.
