Obituary for Candyace Townsend

The Celebration of Life of
CANDYACE SHARIS TOWNSEND
Shari’s Townsend was born May 21, 1985 to Shawn Townsend and Harrison Martin Jr. in St. Paul Minnesota. At age 36, she departed this life on May 25, 2021. Candyace was a loving mother, daughter, sibling, niece, auntie , friend, and proud Glam’Ma. She was a true definition of a DIVA! She loved nice and beautiful things! Her hair, clothes, and nails were always put together!
She was employed by TARGET Corporation and was reliable and extremely hard working but most of all, Candyace was loyal and dedicated to her children. Even from miles away, she was always attentive to their wants and needs. At any given time, to their surprise, the doorbell would ring and there would be a pizza delivered or an Uber awaiting to take them to their destination.
Like her smile, Candyace’s presence would always light up a room! She never met a stranger and would always welcome you as a friend. She had strong faith in the Lord and she never wavered.
Candyace’ memory will forever be cherished by her loving children Ka’Daisea Townsend Henderson, Ka’Daviyon Henderson, Ka’Mariyae Henderson, Kyian Townsend Henderson, Kairo Sheriff, and grandson August Eldridge. Her mother Shawn Townsend, father Harrison Martin Jr. (Marde). Siblings, Sareeta Townsend, Faye Neal, Shawn Townsend, James Townsend, Marcus Neal, Tarvar Baskerville (Deborah), Lorenzo Wims, Kenneth Stacey, Titus Martin Sr. and Darries Martin. Grandmother Alberta Mayes (Weldon) along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Also to love and cherish Candyace’s memory holding a special place is Gina Henderson-Harris. Candyace was proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents Harrison Martin Sr. and Mary Martin.
