Beverly Sims, 85, of Fort Wayne passed away on February 19th, 2024. Beverly was born in Shelbyville to Frank and Agnes McMullen on July 23rd, 1938. She graduated from Elmhurst High School, where she made many friends and met her husband of 66 years, Richard Sims. Bev and Dick married on October 30th, 1958 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and had two sons, Steven and Scott. Beverly thoroughly enjoyed her career as a Stock Transfer Manager with Lincoln Financial; she spent 40 years with Lincoln and loved to travel with the company and coordinated employee banquets for many years after retiring. Bev loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends, always taking care to ensure those that she loved were happy, comfortable, and well-fed. She is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, Steve (Leisa Jones) Sims, Scott (Connie) Sims, as well as her grandchildren, Andrew (Rachel) Sims, Nick Sims, and Lauren Sims. Beverly was especially enthralled with her great-grandchildren, Adelaine and Rex Sims. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 10 am until the services. Burial will follow at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke, Indiana.
