Ashley Nichole Givands was born December 20th,1988 in Vancouver, WA to the late Eric Givands and Vanessa Givands. She passed away peacefully on February 24, 2023 at home at the age of 34.
She attended Crestline Elementary in Vancouver, WA
Ashley accepted JESUS CHRIST as her LORD and SAVIOR and implemented GOD'S Love to everyone she knew.
On August 3, 2001, Ashley moved from Vancouver, WA, with her mother Vanessa and sister Kortnee. She attended Ben Geyer Middle School and Northrop High School in Fort Wayne, IN. She was employed at Benchmark Human Services.
Ashley loved music and singing. She also enjoyed eating. Red Lobster was her favorite restaurant! Her greatest joy was being Mom to Jordan, Cory, Makayla and Harmony. She also loved and adored her nephews Jeremiah, Nehemiah and Braylen. Her house was ALWAYS full of kids, and full of love and joy. Ashley will be deeply loved and missed...
She leaves to mourn her loss but cherish her memory 4 children; Jordan Givands, Detrick "Corey" Thompson Jr, Makala Givands and Harmony Thompson; mother Vanessa Givands, and Special Dad Alfred Lee; her baby sister Kortnee Givands; her life long love Detrick Thompson Sr; nephews Jeremiah Givands, Nehemiah Givands, and Braylen Givands; her Nana, Velma Andrews; her aunts, Sandy Andrews and Tamara Anspach, Great Aunt, Patricia Green and Great Uncle Franklin “Jiggers” Harris; her Second Mom and Dad, Roosevelt Logan and Kim Thompson; special sisters; Robin Benham, Demetra Thompson, Jamilla Rigsby, Christine Bryan, Charlene Bryan, and Shatauna Williams; special brothers, Adrian Burney, Elbert Mondaine, III and Christopher E. Mondaine.
Special nephews; Lamar Fagin, Aamani Thompson, Jayden Underwood-Thompson; and special nieces Kyra Fagin, Jadah Benham, Dezire Stocks, Genesis Bryan, Mia Bryan, and Londyn Bryan, Aamaya Wright-Thompson, Journee Thompson; cousins, Jeffrey Andrews, Ifeany Chiedu, Branden Andrews, Charlie Chiedu Jr, Grace Chiedu, Brittany Anspach, Brianna Andrews, Uncle Ronnie Moore, Aunt Candace Bent-Moore, Xavier Oldham, Travis Oldham; and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eric L Givands, her grandmother Marinda F. Givands, and her Popo, Alfred C. Andrews.
Funeral Services for Ashley will take place at Wings of Deliverance THC, 2502 Fairfield Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46807, on Saturday March 4th 2023, at 11:00 am with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held at the church on Friday March 3rd 2023 from 4-8pm. Preferred memorials in Ashley’s honor may be directed to Muscular Dystrophy Association.
